Prism Cyber Core documentation
The Prism Cyber Core guide explains how the current browser scanner, image OCR, heuristic sensitive-data detection, review workflow, account features, and service data boundaries work. It also documents that PDF handling is currently filename/type based.
Overview and data boundaries
Prism Cyber Core is a privacy-first web file analysis tool. The current web scanner reads selected files in your browser; selected file contents are not uploaded by the scanner, while account and operational metadata may still be processed by the Service.
- Selected files are analyzed locally in a protected browser session.
- Image OCR and pattern checks run in the browser.
- Reports summarize the current scan session for review; they are not legal or regulatory certifications.
- Account, billing, support, security, operational, and separately selected Vault metadata follow the Privacy Policy.
Getting started
- Open the browser app and create an account or use the available demo.
- Select files in the browser scanner and start a scan from the dashboard.
- Review findings, risk signals, and categories before choosing an available action.
- Use current account and subscription controls for access, billing, and recovery.
File scanning and PII detection
The Prism Cyber Core engine uses filename signals, file metadata, supported image OCR, and local heuristic checks to identify possible Social Security numbers, card numbers, medical signals, government IDs, credentials, and financial statements. These findings are for review and do not guarantee that every sensitive value will be found.
For supported screenshots, scanned documents, and receipt photos, English optical character recognition runs locally in a browser worker before pattern checks. PDF handling is currently filename/type based; scanned PDF contents are not extracted.
- High risk: direct PII such as SSNs, card numbers, or medical identifiers.
- Medium risk: financial statements, login credentials, or partial IDs.
- Low risk: digital clutter with minimal privacy risk.
Review, Vault, and reports
The Review tab presents file names, detected types, risk levels, and category labels. You can keep, archive, remove, search, or filter findings where the current dashboard exposes those controls; Prism Cyber Core does not delete operating-system originals directly.
The Vault is a dashboard area for items you choose to retain. Review the Privacy Policy for storage, thumbnail, and access details. Cloud Connect is currently a sample-file preview and does not connect a live cloud account.
Reports summarize the current scan session for review. They are not legal or regulatory certifications, immutable audit logs, or legal advice.
Plans and account management
The service offers a free experience and paid Personal / Individual, Small Business, and Enterprise Security Vault plans. Exact features and access are shown at checkout.
The dashboard provides account, billing, referral, report, and available entitlement controls. Session, support, subscription, and service records are handled under the Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
- Selected file contents are not uploaded by the current web scanner; account and operational metadata may still be processed.
- Local browser scan results do not automatically sync across devices.
- An internet connection is required for the web app, sign-in, subscription validation, and service requests.
- No recorded signal is not a guarantee that a file is safe.
Software release status
Prism Cyber Core software is pre-release: final testing and release preparation are in progress. No public launch or access date has been announced. Native desktop and mobile packages are not publicly released.
Education is a separate product line; purchase availability is shown for each course.
Local scanner and optional web Vault
Selected file contents are analyzed locally in your browser. The scanner does not upload selected original files, original image pixels, OCR text, or matched sensitive values. If you explicitly choose a web Vault action, file metadata and generated thumbnail data may be transmitted to Prism's backend. A generated thumbnail is an image preview and may contain sensitive information from the selected image; it is not the original file.
